Yekaterina Alyokhina said the officers arrived at six in the morning and took the laptop and phone. Alyokhin remains at liberty. The search was confirmed by Alyokhin himself on his Telegram channel and reported by Mediazona, The Insider and Current Time.

Neither the reason for the search nor the case it is part of has been disclosed. The blogger wrote that he had expected it: "I expected it. And I wrote about it. We are waiting for a lawyer. I will say right away: I have been doing sports and CrossFit since 2018-2019, it is incompatible with drugs."

Yekaterina Alyokhina said she did not have the details. "We, of course, were very worried. We do not keep anything unlawful and do nothing wrong, we only try to live for the benefit of people and the Motherland," she wrote, adding that in her view this was "again attacks from outside" - from haters or from Ukraine. According to her, Alyokhin will buy a new phone during the day, restore his access and write about it in detail himself.

Last September, according to The Insider, law enforcement began a check of Alyokhin on suspicion of fraud. At the time, Telegram channels published a video in which the blogger described how to "launder" 200 million rubles on medical care for Russian servicemen. The Justice Ministry also declared him a "foreign agent" at that time. Alyokhin later said he would stop running his social media because it was "very psychologically difficult to write posts" with the label of his new status. According to The Insider, he was fined three times this year for failing to comply with the requirements for "foreign agents."

Alyokhin is a pro-Kremlin blogger and military correspondent who for a time served as an adviser to the dismissed governor of the Kursk region, Alexei Smirnov. He announced he had signed a contract with the Defense Ministry to serve in the Akhmat unit, but left it in March. After criticizing the Russian military leadership and a conflict with propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, he was designated a "foreign agent."
