FACTUM is an independent Russian-language news publication. The editorial team is responsible for FACTUM's editorial policy and for the materials published under its name.

Founder and editor-in-chief

Andrei Baklanov

Andrei Baklanov is a journalist, editor, and founder of media projects with many years of experience in journalism and media.

In the 2000s he founded and led the newspaper Omsky Khronograf. In 2012 he founded the online portal Omsk55.ru and served as its editor-in-chief until 2019. He is also the founder of the projects Factum Media and Factum Immigration.

He holds a law degree and has professional experience in the legal field.

At FACTUM.PRESS he is responsible for editorial policy, the selection of sources for monitoring, and the methodology of event confirmation. He runs the “Analytics” section and makes the final editorial decisions on disputed publications and substantive corrections.
