An eight-year-old child was killed and eight people were wounded in a mass Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's southern Krasnodar region overnight, regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev said, as reported by Current Time.
Kondratyev said "several hundred drones" were launched at the region, with civilian facilities and homes hit in Novorossiysk, Anapa, Gelendzhik and the Temryuk district. Novorossiysk mayor Andrei Kravchenko said a six-year-old child was among the wounded, injured in a strike on a rooftop. He said four enterprises and 21 residential buildings, including apartment blocks, were damaged. Temporary accommodation centers were set up in the Primorsky and Vostochny districts, housing about 90 people.
In the village of Volna in the Temryuk district, drone debris fell in the yard of a private home, injuring one person. "Doctors did everything possible, but, unfortunately, the man could not be saved," Kondratyev wrote. In Anapa, a residential building was damaged and two people were wounded; in Gelendzhik, three private homes were damaged and two people were wounded.
Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ reported an attack on the Novorossiysk grain products plant, a major port transshipment complex with two grain elevators, where a fire broke out.
