Bair Tsyrenov, the Communist Party candidate for the Buryat single-mandate district, has aired two 15-second campaign spots on local television, the outlet Sibirsky Express reported. In the ads, people ask: "When will the SVO end?", "Why block the internet?", "How to live with such taxes?", "Why is everything getting more expensive?" and "Why is a recycling fee needed?" At the end of the video, Tsyrenov appears with the line "Power to the people, peace to the world."

The candidate wrote on his Telegram channel that his team "tried to fit into 15 seconds all the thoughts and questions that people have today, because we have the same questions." He also noted that, "surprisingly," the ads have not yet been taken off the air.

Last week, the Buryat edition of the Rossiya 24 channel cut off Tsyrenov's live broadcast when he tried to challenge his opponent, United Russia candidate and Ukraine war veteran Dashibal Munkozhargalov, to a debate.
