The Pskov Regional Court has upheld a lawsuit filed by the local branch of the Rodina party and removed the Yabloko party list from the election for the region's Legislative Assembly, according to the project Slovo Zashchite.
As reported by 7x7, the dispute concerned the power of attorney of the party's authorized representative for financial matters: the document was initially submitted without a seal, but Yabloko later presented a corrected version. According to Rodina, the party had no right to amend submitted documents. The election commission, which had previously registered the list, saw no grounds for refusal in the violation, but its representative in court supported the lawsuit, as did the prosecutor.
The Pskov region remained the last of three regions where Yabloko was represented in the current legislative assembly and had received registration of its list for the new elections. In St. Petersburg, the election commission refused the party, and in Karelia, a court annulled the registration — also at the suit of Rodina.
In response, the Pskov branch of Yabloko demanded that Rodina's list be removed from the ballot. The regional court will consider that lawsuit on August 27.
