Fuel supplies to the annexed peninsula do not yet cover residents' full needs, Russia-installed head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov said, announcing that stations will sell gasoline and diesel only from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00 daily.
An hour before the morning sales begin, at 07:00, an interactive map on the website of Crimea's Russia-controlled Ministry of Fuel and Energy will show which stations have fuel in stock, Aksyonov said. He added that some Crimeans will face limited access to gasoline at this stage, but the situation "will improve" as delivery volumes grow.
Residents writing in the "Gasoline Crimea and Sevastopol" chat said working people will have no time to queue for fuel in the mornings.
Fuel supply disruptions and queues at Crimean gas stations have been recorded regularly, according to Krym.Realities, an RFE/RL project. The problems stem from Ukrainian strikes on Russian military, logistics and fuel-energy infrastructure, as well as disruptions to transport across the Kerch Bridge.
