Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said air defense forces shot down 15 drones overnight over Voronezh and five districts of the region. In the Novousmansky district, a 49-year-old man died from falling drone debris, and two others were injured — one was outdoors, the other at a large logistics center.
Fires broke out at two warehouses of a "large company." One blaze was extinguished over 16,000 square meters, while another was still being fought across 20,000 square meters. According to Astra, the site is the Wildberries logistics center in the village of Alexandrovka, Novousmansky district. The company's press service said overnight that employees had been evacuated from logistics facilities in the Voronezh region.
In the Orenburg region, according to Ukrainian monitoring channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+, the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in Orsk was attacked — a city more than 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The channels report that the hydrocracking unit, with a capacity of 1.6 million tons per year, was likely hit. Supernova+ also says the "Mechanical Plant" in Orsk came under attack.
Orenburg Region Governor Yevgeny Solntsev wrote that eight drones were shot down over the region. "As a result of falling drone debris, a fire started at one of the industrial enterprises. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties," he said. Data from the NASA Firms monitoring service confirms a fire in the industrial area of Orsk where both enterprises are located.
PJSC Orsknefteorgsintez is one of Russia's largest oil refineries, with a crude processing capacity of 6.6 million tons per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and lubricants.
Russia's Defense Ministry reported shooting down 396 Ukrainian drones over 14 regions, including the Voronezh and Orenburg regions, as well as annexed Crimea.
Sources differ: the Voronezh governor reported a fire covering 20,000 square meters, while The Bell cites 75,000 square meters. The Orenburg governor said the fire started "as a result of falling drone debris," while Ukrainian monitoring channels report the refinery was struck. Additionally, The Insider reports a fire at a refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the cause of which is unknown — the Orenburg governor did not mention it.
