Ukrainian drones struck the Belgorod State Technological University named after Shukhov (BSTU) in the Russian city of Belgorod, according to local Telegram channel "Pepel," which said the attack hit a building where drones were developed and tested, and the structure burned down completely. A fire broke out at the scene.
The Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ also reported explosions in the city, saying that, according to local residents, the target was BSTU. The regional operational headquarters had warned several times since the night about the threat of drone attacks in Belgorod and the Belgorod district; authorities did not report any drone strikes or their consequences.
BSTU's VK page lists unmanned technologies as one of the university's focus areas: prospective students are invited to enroll in the specialty "Operation of unmanned aircraft systems," and the university publicizes cooperation with Sakhalin University in the field of drone aviation. As Astra notes, the university also reported developing an automated UAV control system based on the Russian microprocessor "Milandr," describing it as civilian — for monitoring power lines, heating mains, and aerial photography.
The same night, Ukrainian drones, according to monitoring channels, attacked a Wildberries logistics center near the village of Khryastovo in the Vladimir region. Governor Alexander Avdeev reported the attack on the warehouse complex, noting that people had been evacuated. Video from eyewitnesses shows a fire at the warehouse.
