Nizhnekamsk Mayor Radmir Belyayev said one drone hit a residential building, injuring four people, and a second struck a tree, damaging a car parked nearby. Two young men inside the vehicle died; the others were hospitalized in serious condition.
A fire broke out at one of the city's industrial facilities. Belyayev said the production process was not halted but gave no further details. The Ukrainian monitoring channel Supernova+ identified the site as an oil refinery. The press service of the head of Tatarstan said 12 people were injured in the attack in total.
Nizhnekamsk is home to two refineries: Taneco, with a capacity of 17 million tonnes and owned by Tatneft, and TAIF-NK, with a capacity of 7.3 million tonnes. Astra reported that one of the drones fell next to a residential building, blowing out windows and causing other damage. Video from the scene showed fires burning.
In the Krasnodar region, drones attacked an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban. A fire broke out at the facility, according to the regional emergency response center, confirmed by Astra, which published footage from witnesses. Ukrainian monitoring channels also confirmed the strike.
The Slavyansk refinery is owned by Slavyansk ECO, has a capacity of 5.2 million tonnes of oil a year and accounts for about 9% of refining volume in the Southern Federal District. The plant supplies fuel to annexed Crimea. It was last attacked by drones in June, when it suspended operations for a time.
