The cargo was delivered on August 5 from the Indian refinery Nayara Energy, whose shareholder is Russia's state-controlled oil company Rosneft, Bloomberg reported, citing Kpler data.
According to Bloomberg, the tanker Cyclone loaded about 42,000 metric tons of fuel on June 18 for the first delivery. In July, the cargo was transferred to another vessel near the Egyptian port of Damietta, and the gasoline arrived in Russia in early August.
Reuters reported in early July that Russia, amid a fuel crisis, had begun buying gasoline from India. Agency sources said at least 60,000 metric tons of gasoline had been sent to Russia. In total, Russia plans to import 400,000 metric tons of gasoline monthly from various countries, an industry source told Reuters.
India is one of the largest buyers of Russian oil. In June, Russian oil exports to India reached a record 2.7 million barrels per day, accounting for more than half of India's total oil imports.
