Governor Andrei Vorobyov said Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region overnight into Aug. 4, killing five people and wounding six others. The worst damage was recorded in the Chekhov municipal district.
In an industrial zone near the village of Novoselki, drones hit several facilities, sparking fires at a warehouse, an electrical substation and an administrative building. One of the blazes was already extinguished, Vorobyov said. In the village of Solnyshkovo, drone debris damaged a private house and a car.
Outlet Astra, citing eyewitnesses, reported that the target of the attack in Chekhov may have been a Wildberries warehouse. According to Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+, the warehouse was not struck. The company did not confirm damage to the facility in Chekhov.
Drones also attacked the Leningrad region. Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported damage in a warehouse zone near the settlement of Krasny Bor in the Tosnensky district and one injured person. Wildberries' press service said the attack targeted a logistics facility of the marketplace.
The company claims there are no casualties and that employees were evacuated in advance. Telegram channels published videos of a burning warehouse in Krasny Bor.
