The badge was presented during the opening of a boulevard named after Akhmat-Hadzhi Kadyrov in the Vladimir Putin district of Grozny, The Insider reported. Khusnullin said the Chechen leader personally oversaw urban development projects in the republic.
"I believe the chief architect of all these projects is you personally," Khusnullin said while handing over the award.
The "Honorary Architect of Russia" is not a state honorary title but a departmental badge of the Ministry of Construction. Under the award's regulations, it can be granted both to architecture professionals and to "other persons" who have made a significant contribution to the development of architecture and urban planning. A separate state title, "Honored Architect of the Russian Federation," also exists.
It is not the first industry award for the head of Chechnya. In April, the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic gave him a medal "For Contribution to the Development of Science" - what scientific work the contribution concerned was not publicly specified. Eight days later, Kadyrov received a first-degree order "For Special Contribution to the Development of the Cement Industry of the Russian Federation."

In March 2023, the human rights commissioner in Chechnya awarded him the medal "Honored Human Rights Defender of the Chechen Republic" - for "outstanding merits in protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens." His mother, Aimani, and his father, Akhmat Kadyrov, received similar medals, the latter posthumously. A month earlier, Kadyrov became the first holder of the title Hero of the Chechen Republic - an award he had himself established shortly before, with the authority to confer it also belonging to the head of Chechnya.
Kadyrov's youngest son, Adam, has also received a large number of awards. The first series began in the fall of 2023, when he was 15. In September, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video showing Adam beating Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning a Quran, in a Grozny pretrial detention center. Soon afterward, the younger Kadyrov received the title Hero of Chechnya, and within weeks he was given Tatarstan's Duslyk Order, the highest award of Karachay-Cherkessia "For Merits before the KChR," an award "For Merits before the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic," the orders "For Merits before the Ummah" and "For Service to the Religion of Islam," as well as "Labor Valor of Russia" and a medal "For Contribution to the Development of the Russian Special Forces University." By mid-November 2023, The Insider counted nine awards for the 15-year-old Adam in less than two months.
In March 2025, the National Guard awarded the 17-year-old Adam its departmental medal "For Combat Distinction." In January, he received a gold medal "For Merits in Improving the Safety of Nuclear Power Plants" for participating in ensuring the protection of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant - the same award his father had previously received. In June, Adam was again given the title Hero of Chechnya - now a twice Hero of the republic. At that time he was 18. In addition, father and son simultaneously received commemorative medals "90 Years of the GIBDD of the MVD of Russia."
