Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechnya's leader Ramzan Kadyrov, posted a video showing himself committing multiple traffic violations. The 13-second clip appeared on an Instagram account linked to the younger Kadyrov, the outlet Verstka reported.
The first-person video shows a Range Rover crossing a double solid line and driving into oncoming traffic. By the end of the clip, the speedometer reads 112 km/h — while a 50 km/h speed limit sign is visible in the frame. Kadyrov is also seen using his phone while driving, and neither he nor his passenger are wearing seatbelts.
Crossing a double solid line is a serious traffic violation that can result in license revocation. Exceeding the speed limit by 60–80 km/h falls under Part 4 of Article 12.9 of the Administrative Code, which also carries a penalty of license suspension for four to six months. Using a phone while driving carries a fine of 1,500 rubles.
In early 2026, reports emerged that Adam Kadyrov had been involved in a traffic accident in Grozny. According to Novaya Gazeta Europe, vehicles from Kadyrov's motorcade collided with another car, killing that vehicle's driver. There was no official confirmation of the accident; Ramzan Kadyrov called reports that his son had been in a crash a 'hoax.' In March, Novaya Gazeta Europe reported that following the accident, Adam Kadyrov was no longer being considered as his father's successor as head of Chechnya.
