The studio said it lost "a large number of sets, costumes and items that were part of our concerts, television shows, films and series over twenty years."
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a drone struck the warehouse in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district. A fire broke out there and one person was injured. The studio said no one was hurt during the strike.
"Russian weapons can destroy property. But it cannot stop us. We continue to work, write new jokes and help Ukrainian defenders. All planned concerts will go ahead. With props or without them," the studio said in a statement. Its press service separately noted that "behind every set, costume or prop is the work of a team, filming, rehearsals and dozens of stories."
Kvartal 95 was founded in 2003 on the basis of the KVN team "95th Kvartal." One of the studio's founders and its artistic director was Volodymyr Zelensky — in 2019, after winning the presidential election, he left the business and transferred his shares to partners.
Sources differ: the State Emergency Service reports one person injured in the strike, while the studio said no one was hurt during the attack.
