A mother and two of her children were killed in the Fastiv district, and another girl died in the Vyshhorod district, where a child was also wounded on the evening of September 19, said Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
The Fastiv district accounted for the most damage, with 24 sites hit, including residential buildings, industrial and utility premises, the grounds of an agricultural enterprise and 17 vehicles. In all, 31 sites were damaged across five districts of the region. The Obukhiv, Brovary and Bucha districts were also struck.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 138 drones of various types, including jet-powered ones. As of the morning of September 20, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 101 of the drones. Hits were recorded at 17 locations and falling debris at five more.
The Russian Defense Ministry said a warehouse belonging to the company FIRE POINT was attacked in the Kyiv region, a cargo ship in the port of Odesa, and a warehouse of the company Nova Poshta north of Odesa. It also reported a strike on a railway in the Vinnytsia region.
A day earlier in the Kherson region, an FPV drone attacked a monastery in the village of Chervonyi Maiak. A 71-year-old clergyman was killed and four other priests were wounded, said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
According to Tkachenko, the attack on the Kyiv region is continuing.
