On the evening of August 11, a Lamborghini crashed into a residential building at 1 Otradnaya Street in Yekaterinburg, knocking over several electric scooters, according to E1.ru and the Telegram channel Baza. The driver was injured.
According to Baza and E1.ru, the car belongs to Igor Altushkin, founder of the Russian Copper Company, whom Forbes estimates to be worth $4.9 billion. The driver, according to the outlets, was his son David, with two other teenagers in the car, Shot reported.
Two people sitting on the building's porch were injured. One of them had recently returned from the Russian-Ukrainian war and was on crutches, Baza claimed. He suffered multiple fractures and a closed head injury. The other injured person did not require hospitalization.
Reports differ: the Sverdlovsk region traffic police said one person was injured — the driver, who lost control. Baza and Ostorozhno, Novosti reported two injured, one of whom is 23-year-old boxer Timur Khalilov. According to Ostorozhno, Novosti, in spring 2025 he was arrested on charges of kidnapping, after which he may have signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry.
Altushkin is called an "Orthodox oligarch": he financed the construction of churches in the Sverdlovsk region and donated icons to the Russian Orthodox Church. The Moscow Times reported that the businessman sponsors the Ural assault battalion fighting in the Luhansk region.
