Lida Moniava, head of the charity foundation Dom s Mayakom, was taken to the Investigative Committee on the morning of September 2, one of her lawyers said. According to him, she is awaiting interrogation and has not been formally detained.
Before that, a search was conducted at Moniava's home, Novaya Gazeta reported, citing sources. According to the reports, she faces a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code — the spread of "fakes" about the Russian army. Details of the case have not been disclosed.
In January, Moniava was fined 45,000 rubles under an administrative article on "discrediting" the army over her Telegram posts. After the court ruling, she said she did not plan to leave Russia.
Moniava founded Dom s Mayakom in 2018. The organization helps seriously ill children and young adults up to 30 years old and supports hospices in Moscow and the Moscow region. After the start of the full-scale war, Moniava opened a separate project to help refugees from Ukraine, Russia's border regions and Nagorno-Karabakh. In September 2025, that project ceased operations.
