Kuznetsova's post carried the line "Friends, I seem to have good news," followed by the text of a Roskomnadzor statement dated June 18, 2020, on the removal of restrictions from the messenger.
Roskomnadzor, Russia's media and internet regulator, soon sent Kuznetsova a notice demanding she delete the publication, Meduza reported. In the agency's account, the author "presents outdated truthful information as a newly arisen and current news item." Roskomnadzor said this could have misled readers and led to mass disruption of public order.
