The case centered on hammers smeared with fake blood that were hung on the door handles of apartments belonging to three senior officials at the federal communications watchdog, according to the investigation.
The court found that on April 28 the teenager and another defendant placed the hammers on the doors of Alexander Zaveryachev, head of the department for organizational development and information technology; Tatyana Deniskina, head of the department for licensing, control and supervision in the sphere of mass communications; and Maxim Prytkin, head of the department for control and supervision in the sphere of communications.
According to the investigation, the addresses were provided by a person who introduced himself as Igor and offered money for the work.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Investigative Committee announced the detention of two suspects on April 30. The FSB claimed the detainees had been recruited through Telegram by Ukrainian special services under the guise of work for detective and debt-collection agencies.
The case against the second, adult defendant was separated into its own proceedings. No verdict has yet been handed down in that case, Verstka noted.
According to Verstka, the teenager said he was tortured.
