Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) said they are conducting a special operation to expose a criminal organization that, according to investigators, operated under the leadership of current and former lawmakers and with the participation of senior officials from the presidential office.

The names of those involved were not disclosed in the official statement. Lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko claimed that a search is underway at the office of Iryna Mudra, deputy head of the presidential office. This information was also confirmed by a source for the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne.

The newspaper Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reported that the operation also involves lawmaker Vadym Stolar, a former member of the Opposition Platform — For Life party, and former lawmaker Maksym Mykytas. The case includes officials from the Justice Ministry and representatives of Sense Bank, formerly Alfa-Bank Ukraine.

Mudra was appointed deputy head of the presidential office in March 2024. Previously, she served as deputy justice minister.

NABU and SAPO promised to provide more details of the operation, dubbed "Forrest Gump," later.
