A fire broke out at an oil refinery in Slavyansk-na-Kubani after a Ukrainian drone attack, killing one person, according to regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev and independent media.
One person died from falling drone debris, Kondratyev wrote on social media. Several homes, a power line, and a gas pipe were damaged in the city.
In the village of Trudobelikovsky in the Krasnoarmeysky District, one person was injured, the governor said. Several private homes there were also damaged.
The glow from the refinery fire was visible from about 45 kilometers away, according to Radio Svoboda (designated a foreign agent in Russia). The Slavyansk refinery is one of Russia's largest oil refineries and has been repeatedly targeted by drone attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also reported an attack on an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region, according to Mediazona. Regional authorities have not confirmed this information.
