Speaking to reporters, Putin was responding to a question from a journalist with the state radio stations Mayak and Vesti FM, who cited information circulating in Ukrainian and some Western media that a mobilization could be announced after the State Duma elections. "Yes, complete nonsense. This is an information attack on Russia," the president said.
At the same press conference, Putin also addressed a warning by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about possible strikes on Russian aviation infrastructure. The Russian leader called this "a claim to state terrorism" and said that negotiations are not conducted with terrorists, adding that Russia "will find something to respond with" in the event of such attacks.
Putin also said that Russia has managed to restore 90% of the oil refineries damaged by Ukrainian strikes. According to him, there were attempts to attack three refineries overnight, but they were unsuccessful due to enhanced protection.
