In Zaporizhzhia, a Russian drone destroyed a private house. Two women were killed under the rubble — Lyudmila and Vasilina, the mother and grandmother of a three-year-old boy, Artem. The child and a 38-year-old man were injured. The city's central market later caught fire.
In Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, an office building caught fire after a drone fell, the Kyiv City Military Administration said on its Telegram channel. According to BBC, citing local outlets, the building was likely the Protasov business center, which houses the Cosmonova data center. Part of the clients of one internet provider were left without service, according to the Kyiv Novyny Telegram channel.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a jet-powered drone fell in the courtyard of a residential building. A fire broke out in a ground-floor shop, 20 people were evacuated and four were injured. A warehouse in the city's Obolonskyi district also caught fire, injuring one person.
On the evening before, Russian strikes hit Ivankiv Lyceum No. 2 in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region and a kindergarten in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district. Fires broke out in both buildings; no casualties were reported.
In Kharkiv, drones attacked the Saltivskyi district. According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration, four people were injured: a 37-year-old woman, men aged 44 and 53, and a 48-year-old woman. A two-story residential building was damaged and a car caught fire.
Three people were injured in a strike on a highway in the Odesa region, and three trucks were damaged. In the Kherson region, one civilian was killed and three others injured over the past day, the regional military administration said.
Russia's Defense Ministry said the target of the attack in Kyiv was the Cosmonova data center, which it believes supports Starlink satellite communications systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Odesa and the Odesa region, the Russian military said it struck a port facility in Vylkove, a road bridge in Maiaky, a Nova Poshta logistics center, and a cargo ship in the Black Sea.
