Ukrainian air defense units shot down or suppressed 187 of the 200 drones, which included Shahed strike drones, "Gerbera" drones and "Parody" decoy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Hits were recorded at seven locations, with debris from downed drones falling at three more.
In Kyiv, drones struck gas stations in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, the Kyiv City Military Administration said. In the Obolonskyi district, warehouses were hit, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and in the Solomianskyi district a drone struck non-residential buildings.
The number of injured in the capital rose to six, the city military administration said. Four are in hospitals, two of them in serious condition, Klitschko said. An air raid alert with a yellow danger level was declared in Kyiv and the region.
In the Odesa region, the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, reported a mass attack on civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings, logistics facilities, and port and transport infrastructure were hit. Roofs, facades and windows of private houses, along with dozens of garages and cars, were damaged. No one was injured.
Russia's Defense Ministry said a logistics center was struck in Velyka Balka in the Odesa region, and that a cargo ship and a ferry were hit at the port of Chornomorsk. The ministry also reported continued strikes on railway infrastructure in western regions of Ukraine, which it claims are used to transport military cargo from European countries.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, an infrastructure facility was hit in a drone attack. According to the regional administration, emergency services are fighting a fire, one person was killed and another was wounded. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanja, reported two injured in the Nikopol district, one of them, a 63-year-old man, hospitalized in moderate condition. Administrative buildings and apartment blocks were damaged.
