Russia's Interior Ministry is conducting research and development work on a unified electronic database of individuals who committed sexual violence against minors, according to a response from Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov to a request from State Duma deputy Anastasia Udaltsova, published by the Telegram channel of Ksenia Sobchak, "Krovavaya Barynya."

The new service will reportedly be called "Rapist-Pedophile," though the name is not mentioned in Manturov's letter, according to several outlets. The registry is planned to launch in 2027, Verstka reports.

The database will be closed, accessible only to Interior Ministry employees. Udaltsova, however, believes the registry should be public.

It remains unclear what criteria will determine inclusion in the database — in particular, whether people with already expunged convictions will be listed.

Additionally, the Interior Ministry is developing electronic bracelets for those under supervision, including individuals convicted of crimes against children's sexual integrity. The agency is seeking Russian manufacturers for this task, TV Rain reports.
