In Kyiv, drones hit several districts, according to the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko. In the Pecherskyi district, a drone struck a residential building at the level of the seventh to tenth floors, and another drone hit a 25-story building in the Solomianskyi district at the level of the fourth floor.
Seven people were injured in the Pecherskyi district, three of whom were taken to hospitals, according to the Ukrainian police. One of the wounded is in serious condition, Radio Liberty reported.
Three districts of the Kyiv region were hit, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said. A woodworking enterprise, a warehouse, private houses and cars caught fire. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
In Zaporizhzhia, a drone struck a local hospital, the head of the regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, said. A fire broke out in one of its departments. Multi-story buildings, garages and cars were also damaged. Two people were wounded. The head of the regional military administration, Mykhailo Semikin, also reported a fire at the hospital.
In the Odesa region, a local woman was killed and another person was wounded, the head of the regional administration, Oleh Kiper, wrote. A postal terminal building and warehouses were damaged. A private house caught fire in Odesa.
The Russian Defense Ministry claims that Russian drones attacked a site for the assembly and storage of Ukrainian drones in the Kyiv region, as well as military warehouses, a port and a cargo ship in the Odesa region.
Accounts differ: according to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used 295 strike drones in the attack, 267 of which were shot down. There is no independent confirmation of these figures. The Russian Defense Ministry did not report the number of drones used.
