Ukraine's air defense units shot down or suppressed 69 of the drones, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Hits were recorded at 13 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at three more. The attacking force included jet-powered drones, Gerbera decoys, and simulator types known as Parodiya and Banderol/Dan-T.

In the Zhytomyr region, two people were killed and two more were wounded and hospitalized in moderate condition. Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the regional military administration, said the strike hit an industrial park in the Korosten district. The State Emergency Service said warehouse and production buildings caught fire.

Five people were injured in the Kyiv region, including three children. Timur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration, said they were wounded in a morning attack on the Fastiv district, where private homes were destroyed and damaged. The children suffered acoustic barotrauma and acute stress reactions, and all three were hospitalized. A man sustained burns, a shrapnel wound and a cut wound to his foot, while a woman suffered an acute stress reaction. A family was injured in the Fastiv district, the State Emergency Service said.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russia struck the Amstor shopping center late on September 17. Mykhailo Semykin, head of the regional military administration, said the complex had burned down completely by the morning of September 18. Rescuers fought the fire across a total area of more than 10,000 square meters, with the work complicated by constant threats of repeat strikes that forced firefighters to take cover. One person was injured, and emergency rescue operations have been completed.

Konotop in the Sumy region was also hit. Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported damage to a kindergarten, a school, medical facilities, private homes, small businesses, power lines and a railway. A hit on the gas transmission network left part of the city without gas supply. Two women were injured.

In the Odesa region, Russian forces carried out a mass attack on civilian infrastructure. Oleh Kiper, head of the regional military administration, said three people were injured. A private house was destroyed, and at least five private houses, an enterprise, tanks, warehouse premises, a lyceum building, greenhouses and several cars were damaged.

Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said on the morning of September 18 that enterprises in Dnipro had been damaged late the previous evening, a private house destroyed and two people injured. Three districts of the region came under drone attacks and artillery strikes. In Kyiv, one man was injured and hospitalized in a evening drone attack: drones struck a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Russia's Defense Ministry said a logistics center of the Nova Poshta delivery company was hit in the Odesa region, along with a cargo ship in the port of Chornomorsk. The Russian ministry claimed the vessel was allegedly delivering military-purpose cargo.
