Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia attacked the country with one anti-ship missile, two ballistic missiles and 152 strike drones. All the missiles and 106 of the drones were shot down, according to the Air Force.
In Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out after a strike hit one of the buildings of an educational institution, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Missile debris also fell in the courtyard of a residential building in the same district, and another strike hit an administrative building at an infrastructure facility, which Klitschko did not identify. Two private houses were damaged.
In the Pecherskyi district, a three-story non-residential building caught fire after the attack. In the Buchanskyi district of the Kyiv region, a drone strike set a private house and the roof of a neighboring building on fire, and two people were taken to hospitals.
In the Holosiivskyi district, Russian forces struck a six-story residential building in the morning, injuring one person, Ukraine's State Emergency Service said. Rescuers evacuated 10 people from the damaged building.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa city administration, said Russia attacked the city's infrastructure overnight and in the morning. Three trucks were destroyed and eight more damaged, along with buildings. No one was injured.
Klitschko said two people were killed and another 26 injured in Kyiv as a result of Russian attacks on September 28. Eight of the wounded were hospitalized, one of them in serious condition. Among the sites damaged a day earlier was the building of Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences, where a fire broke out.
