At least six Russian billionaires have sailed their yachts to the southern and southwestern coast of Turkey near Bodrum, where a 71-meter yacht used by Vladimir Putin's inner circle has been anchored since late June, according to the independent outlet Verstka.
The yacht Victoria is currently anchored off the coast of the village of Bozbük, about 84 kilometers from Bodrum and 400 meters from the beaches of the five-star Six Senses Kaplankaya hotel. Formally, the vessel belongs to structures linked to Putin's friend Gennady Timchenko. The Dossier Center, an investigative group founded by Russian opposition figure Mikhail Khodorkovsky, previously established that the yacht is used by the president and his entourage, including Alina Kabaeva.
Less than a kilometer from Putin's yacht lies the 55-meter Rhea (formerly Halo), owned by Roman Abramovich. This is the closest vessel to the Victoria among all those identified.
On the other side of the Bodrum Peninsula, about 30 kilometers from the president's yacht, sits the 62-meter Serenity & Unity (formerly Sea & Us). According to the U.S. Department of Justice, it is used by VTB bank head Andrei Kostin and his lover Nailya Asker-zade. Earlier this month, both vessels were anchored in the Bodrum harbor of Torba about 500 meters apart.
About 40 kilometers south of the Victoria is the 80-meter Genesis, owned by Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov. Until July 14, it too was anchored in Torba harbor, roughly two kilometers from the president's vessel.
Slightly farther southeast, about 87 kilometers from Putin's yacht, lies the 82-meter Romea. Its owner is Alexander Nesis, founder of Polymetal, Russia's largest silver producer.
Off the southern coast, in Kille Bay near the town of Dalaman, the 73-meter superyacht Altair (formerly Clio) of Oleg Deripaska has been anchored for a week. The distance to the Victoria is about 146 kilometers in a straight line.
North of the president's yacht, in the marina of the resort town of Kuşadası, lies the 73-meter Predator, attributed to Iskandar Makhmudov, co-owner of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. It is about 64 kilometers from the Victoria. Since September 2023, the Predator has been put up for sale, but according to Verstka, no buyer has been found yet.
