In Kharkiv, a missile and a drone hit adjacent high-rise buildings in the Saltivskyi district, destroying floors seven through ten in one of them, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said. Two men, aged 50 and 66, were killed.
At least 21 people were injured in Kharkiv, including 11 with blast wounds and two with carbon monoxide poisoning. Eight others, among them a five-year-old boy, suffered acute stress reactions. Four wounded were hospitalized.
Odesa and the surrounding region came under attack with dozens of missiles and drones, regional governor Oleh Kiper said. Several residential buildings in two districts of the city were damaged or partially destroyed, and cars belonging to local residents were burned or damaged by fire. Infrastructure facilities and the port were also hit.
Eight people were wounded in Odesa, most with shrapnel injuries; seven were in moderate condition. In the Zhytomyr region, three people were injured overnight and civilian infrastructure and private homes were damaged.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 202 drones and 17 missiles at the country overnight. Air defense shot down 174 drones and five missiles. The missile barrage included ballistic Iskanders, supersonic cruise Onyx missiles and small Banderol cruise missiles. Ukraine's ability to intercept Russian ballistic missiles is limited by a shortage of interceptor missiles.
