A S-400 surface-to-air missile system has been deployed next to the Moscow State University Innovation Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC) on Vorobyovy Gory, Radio Svoboda reported.
The position was discovered less than 10 kilometers from the Kremlin, according to Krym.Realii. Journalists said the deployment may be part of a new air defense ring around Moscow capable of intercepting not only drones but also ballistic missiles.
The ISTC is the main project of the Innopraktika foundation, which is overseen by Vladimir Putin's daughter Katerina Tikhonova, the outlet noted. Previously, Pantsir systems were used to protect the capital from drones.
