Acting governor of the Belgorod region Alexander Shuvaev reported the deaths on the morning of August 17, saying four more people, including a 14-year-old teenager, were wounded in the attack on Koloskovo in the Valuysky district.

"Two received medical assistance and refused hospitalization. The rest, including the child, were sent to the Valuysk Central District Hospital," Shuvaev wrote. He also said a building burned down and a car was damaged in the strike.

Shuvaev did not specify when the attack took place. According to the Telegram channel "Pepel," the incident occurred on August 16, based on messages from local residents. The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the incident.

Russia's Defense Ministry said that overnight into August 17, Russian forces shot down 205 Ukrainian drones over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk and Rostov regions, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
