Video circulated on Telegram channels showed people in helmets and masks escorting him from the stage. According to Baza, security forces entered the club 15 to 20 minutes after the concert began. Audience members initially took the scene for part of the show, but were later told the performance was cancelled. Club management told REN TV that the blogger himself, his team and guests at the event were subjected to checks.
Several hours later, Zolo said the reason for his detention was a T-shirt bearing "banned satanic symbolism." He said he bought it in 2022 and appeared in it in his videos without knowing it was a violation.
"Ignorance of the law does not exempt from responsibility, so I fully admitted my guilt for this situation, and I undertake to delete all videos connected with this paraphernalia. I undertake to dispose of the T-shirt," the blogger wrote on his Telegram channel. He did not say whether a report was drawn up against him.
In summer 2025, the Russian Supreme Court banned the nonexistent "International Satanism Movement." Displaying the movement's symbols carries both administrative and criminal liability. In spring 2026, a Voronezh resident was sentenced to a year of corrective labor for a selfie in a hat and hoodie bearing a pentagram.
Ivan Zolo, 22, is a Russian TikToker, streamer and musician known for his TikTok videos and the song "Baobab," as well as joint streams with blogger Nekoglai. In February, the governor of annexed Sevastopol banned his concert, calling the blogger a propagandist of "degradation." Ekaterina Mizulina said Zolo's concerts had been cancelled in Sevastopol "because of the propaganda of degradation and security measures."
Zolo also said his concert in annexed Mariupol is being postponed.
