In the early hours of July 29, several Russian regions came under attack from Ukrainian drones and missiles, according to regional officials.
In Taganrog, missile debris struck a multi-story residential building, killing a woman and injuring two other people. The remaining residents were being evacuated, said Yuri Slyusar, governor of the Rostov region.
In the Ryazan region, a drone attack injured six people, who were hospitalized, Governor Pavel Malkov reported. He said a fire had broken out “on industrial territories” but did not specify which facilities were affected.
Ryazan is home to a large warehouse operated by Wildberries, the Russian e-commerce giant. The press service of the merged company RWB said the logistics facility in Ryazan “was evacuated in accordance with safety requirements” but did not report a fire. Ukrainian Telegram channels published photos and videos of a blaze at the warehouse after the attack. The Telegram channel Astra also reported that the Ryazan Oil Refinery had been hit, with smoke rising over the site.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had destroyed 295 Ukrainian drones overnight.
