Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region overnight on July 20, damaging several civilian infrastructure sites, Governor Andrei Vorobyov said. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that more than 400 drones had been heading toward the capital since evening, with 85 shot down on approach to Moscow and most neutralized on distant approaches.
In Podolsk, drone debris caused fires, the governor said. The outlet Astra, analyzing video and photos, reported that an oil depot was hit and burning. A second fire broke out at the industrial complex "Yuzhnye Vorota" in Domodedovo, where a warehouse caught fire. One drone struck a multi-story residential building in Domodedovo; the moment of impact was captured on video.
Vorobyov said that in Odintsovo, a car and a private house were damaged, and in the village of Maloye Tolkino (Podolsk district), a private house caught fire. According to him, one person was injured in a fire at a private house in Domodedovo, and another on the M-4 highway, where a drone fell next to a car.
The press service of Domodedovo Hospital said it had received six people with mine-blast injuries of varying severity, including three foreign nationals. Doctors assessed one man's condition as serious. The hospital's statement provided no further details.
Residents of the village of Koletsino (Podolsk) reported a fire at a Wildberries logistics center. However, the company's press service said the warehouse was not damaged and was operating normally. Employee evacuation was carried out as a safety measure, and all had returned to their workplaces.
