Ukrainian drones struck multiple regions of Russia overnight, hitting logistics centers of the online marketplace Wildberries, an oil depot, and a residential building, leaving seven dead and dozens injured, regional authorities reported.

In the Tambov region, drones hit a Wildberries warehouse in the city of Kotovsk. Governor Evgeny Pervyshov said seven employees working the night shift were killed, 25 people were injured, and 23 of them were hospitalized. Most of the injured suffered shrapnel wounds; one person is in extremely critical condition and six are in serious condition. Pervyshov claimed that air defense systems shot down 28 drones approaching the city.

In the Moscow region, drones attacked a Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal. Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported 24 injured, some of them in serious condition. Drones also struck an oil depot in Noginsk, where two people were injured. A nearby maternity hospital was evacuated as a precaution.

The fire at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal was visible for tens of kilometers. Readers of Varlamov News sent photos from Domodedovo showing the sky filled with black smoke. The smoke from the burning facilities was also visible at Domodedovo Airport.

Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim commented on the attack: “A terrible night, terrible events for our company and for our country. This is pain that cannot be expressed in words. I offer my condolences to all the relatives and friends of the deceased; we will definitely help their families. We will provide all necessary support to the injured.” She did not mention compensation for sellers whose goods were destroyed. In early July, Wildberries updated its offer agreement, removing liability for goods destroyed by military equipment, including drones, TV Rain reported.

In the Vladimir region, a drone struck an apartment in a multi-story residential building in Vladimir, causing a fire that was extinguished. Authorities said no one was injured.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 379 Ukrainian drones overnight over 19 Russian regions, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
