The targets, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, included Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez in Perm, the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant in the Rostov region, the Iskra plant in Ulyanovsk, the Yefremov synthetic rubber plant in the Tula region and Voronezhsintezkauchuk in Voronezh.
Ukrainian military officials said two of the enterprises, in Voronezh and the Tula region, take part in the production of solid rocket fuel, in particular for the ballistic missiles of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system. The Iskra plant is part of the Almaz-Antey concern and, according to open-source data, is expanding the production of semiconductors and electronic components.
Ulyanovsk came under a massed drone attack for the first time since the start of the full-scale war. Governor Alexei Russkikh reported damage to industrial and civilian infrastructure, later specifying that six apartment buildings were damaged, with a partial collapse in one of them. Twelve people were injured, including two children; there were no serious cases.
Russkikh also commented on social media reports of a leak of toxic substances at the Iskra plant, saying that according to operational services the information did not correspond to reality. On the border of the Ulyanovsk and Samara regions, according to the authorities, an electric locomotive and the first carriage of the Moscow-Tolyatti passenger train were damaged "in connection with external interference," and the driver was injured.
In the Perm region, a man died of shrapnel wounds during a drone attack, Governor Dmitry Makhonin said. According to him, air defense forces and mobile fire groups shot down 39 drones, and the aftermath of the raid on an industrial facility was being cleared. Rospotrebnadzor, the consumer rights and public health watchdog, is monitoring air quality, and no exceedances of pollutant levels have been recorded.
Eighty-eight drones were shot down over Voronezh and at least six districts of the Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev said. In the regional center, apartment and private houses were damaged, multiple cars were hit, and 13 people were injured, including a six-year-old child, with two in intensive care. Gusev also reported damage to production buildings, without naming the enterprise.
Overnight into Friday, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 295 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and Banderol types and Parodya decoy drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said. According to its data, 267 drones were shot down or suppressed, with hits recorded at 16 locations and debris falling in four. Some of the drones were launched from the settlement of Gvardeyskoye in annexed Crimea.
In Kyiv, a drone hit a 25-story residential building in the Solomensky district at the level of the fourth floor, and in the Pechersky district a drone crashed into a high-rise at the level of the 7th to 10th floors, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. A 14-year-old boy was killed in the attack. According to Klitschko, there were nine injured in the capital, eight of whom were hospitalized.
In the Kyiv region, three districts were hit: a woodworking enterprise, a warehouse, private houses and cars caught fire, and there were preliminarily no casualties. In the Odesa region, two local residents were killed and two more wounded, and a postal terminal building and warehouses were damaged. In Zaporizhzhia, two people were wounded, a hospital building and emergency vehicles were damaged, and rescuers evacuated seven patients, including people with limited mobility.

Accounts diverge: the Ukrainian General Staff says specific plants were struck, including the Novoshakhtinsk refinery and the Iskra plant, while Russian governors, in reporting the consequences of the attacks, did not name any enterprises. The governor of the Ulyanovsk region called information about a leak at Iskra untrue. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian drones attacked a site for assembling and storing Ukrainian drones in the Kyiv region and military warehouses in the Odesa region, whereas Ukrainian authorities report hits on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.
