Ukrainian drones struck industrial sites in Russia's Stavropol region and a Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) marine terminal near Novorossiysk overnight on July 19, causing fires and damaging two tankers, local officials and the consortium reported.
In the Stavropol region, drones hit industrial facilities in the Khutor Vyazniki area of the Shpakovsky District, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said. He reported two fire sources at industrial sites, with flammable materials detonating and explosions audible in the regional capital, Stavropol.
OSINT analyst for the outlet Astra determined that three oil depots may be burning in and around Stavropol: a Rosneft depot in Vyazniki, a Lukoil depot in Stavropol, and another on Promyshlennaya Street registered to companies Korona and MK-Nefteprodukt. Vladimirov declared a local state of emergency. No casualties were reported.
Near Novorossiysk, drones attacked the CPC marine terminal. The consortium said two tankers were damaged: the Liberia-flagged ASIA and the Marshall Islands-flagged NISSOS IOS. A fire broke out on the ASIA. No crew or terminal staff were injured, and no oil spill occurred. This is not the first attack on CPC facilities, an international consortium involving Kazakhstan, Russia, and Western companies, on Russian territory.
In Kursk, drones struck multi-story residential buildings. Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported damage to apartments on the top three floors of one entrance and the evacuation of residents. One woman was injured. In the town of Lgov, Khinshtein said strikes hit a bus, a grocery store, and a bus stop, injuring the bus driver and a man standing near the store.
Russia's Defense Ministry reported intercepting and destroying 140 Ukrainian drones overnight on July 19. The ministry did not specify how many drones were not shot down.
