Ukrainian drones attacked the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, according to the outlet Astra and the monitoring Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+. Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Yevrayev declared a drone alert in the morning but did not confirm or mention the attack on the refinery.
Traffic was halted on the road out of Yaroslavl toward Moscow, from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt with the South-Western Ring Road. Buses along Moskovsky Prospekt were rerouted via Suzdalskoye Shosse and Kalinina Street, with some routes shortened to the intersection of Nagornaya Street with Moskovsky Prospekt and the railway station.
Yevrayev said kindergartens No. 98 and No. 28 in Yaroslavl were closed "due to the need to eliminate the consequences of the drone attack." Children were moved to other preschool facilities.
Photographs published by Exilenova+ show blown-out windows and damage to apartment buildings. No casualties were reported. Slavneft-YANOS is among Russia's five largest refineries, with a capacity of about 15 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation and jet kerosene. The Ukrainian Armed Forces consider the plant to be of "critical importance" for the logistics of the Russian army.
Drones also attacked the Saratov Region. Regional Governor Roman Busargin reported the threat of an attack. Astra, citing local residents, wrote that explosions were heard in Engels. Supernova+ claimed the target was the Engels military airfield, where a Tu-95 bomber may be burning. This information has not been officially confirmed.
In Pavlovsky Posad in the Moscow Region, a supermarket of the Magnit chain caught fire overnight, according to Supernova+ and Exilenova+. Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed the strike on the store: the blast wave damaged a nearby polyclinic, blowing out 46 windows, with two offices hit hardest. The facility continues to operate, with only the physiotherapy office temporarily suspended.
