Wildberries no longer shows military goods when users search for terms like 'all for the special military operation' (SVO) or 'SVO,' Ukrainian Telegram channels and several media outlets reported. Attempting to enter such a query on the site or app now yields the message 'No suitable products found.'
The marketplace never had a dedicated section called 'all for the SVO' — the term was a tag, the outlet 'Vot Tak' explained. As recently as late May, searching that tag returned helmets, body armor, and other equipment. Previously, the tag listed more than 200,000 items, according to Novaya Gazeta Europe.
However, military goods have not been removed from the platform. Journalists found that body armor and helmets can still be found in the 'Sports' section, while FPV drones and their components appear under 'TV, Audio, Photo, Video Equipment.' Searches for tags such as 'SVO goods,' 'SVO kit,' and 'Items for SVO' also return relevant products — first-aid kits, backpacks, radios, patches, and flags, including Soviet ones, the outlet Ekho reported.
The tag's removal comes amid a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on Wildberries warehouses. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the marketplace's warehouses were being used for military purposes.
