Full wording of the charges
According to the investigation, being dissatisfied with the current political regime on the territory of Russia, on 30 August 2023 he contacted representatives of the Freedom of Russia Legion and expressed his willingness to "commit sabotage on the territory of the country". He was assigned to post the organisation's leaflets around the city and was detained after he started distributing them. Also, according to law enforcement agencies, he passed to the terrorist organisation the data of customs officers, as well as about the enterprises of the defence-industrial complex of Krasnoyarsk. In addition, he planned to set fire to the building of the United Russia party for a reward of $10,000.

He was detained on 5 September 2023, sent to a pre-trial detention centre on 11 September on charges of preparation for a terrorist act, justification of terrorism and participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation. On 22 March 2024, Alekseev was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony.
