Case summary
In October 2023, it was reported that a case was opened against Roman Altukhov, a resident of Yasnaya Polyana, for discrediting the Armed Forces. The Telegram channel "Tula. ExtremiZm" posted a video showing Altukhov in handcuffs, apologising for "repeatedly publishing materials on the Internet defaming and discrediting the Russian Armed Forces." He signed a covenant not to leave the country. On 6 May 2024, Altukhov was sentenced to a fine of 100,000 roubles.
