The reason for the case was a certain publication in VKontakte. In November 2022, Chumakov was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3.3 of the Administrative Code) because of comments criticising the war on VKontakte. In these comments, the man wrote about the bombing of Ukrainian cities, called Putin a maniac and his supporters fascists.
