Case summary
Journalist at the independent regional media outlet "Pskovskaia Guberniia." In 2022, after the start of the war in Ukraine, he left Russia together with the rest of the outlet’s editorial team. In October 2025, it became known that a criminal case was opened against him for “discrediting the army” over a YouTube short published on "Pskovskaia Guberniia"’s channel, marking the thousandth day since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. In the video, Dmitriev spoke about civilian casualties and destroyed villages in Ukraine.
