Case summary
A resident of Ivanovo. Participated in election monitoring and attended relevant trainings of the "Golos" movement, which is engaged in election monitoring. He left Russia. A case was brought against him for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As part of the Gusev case, on 5 October 2022, searches took place in Ivanovo, Moscow, Pskov, Perm, and Chelyabinsk, mostly of people related to "Golos". At least one more search took place on 7 March 2023 at the home of Vladimir Zhilkin, a member of the movement in Tambov. In December 2023, a restraint in the form of a recognisance not to leave was imposed on Gusev despite his absence from the Russian Federation.
