The reason for the case initiation was the likes on anti-war posts in social network "Odnoklassniki", which "characterise the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federationas criminal and invasive" and contain "allegations of the Russian Federation military shooting at Ukrainian citizens, firing rockets at residential buildings, including Kiyv, which resulted in the death of civilians". In March, Gutsenovich was fined 30,000 rubles (approximately 3 thousand euros) under the administrative article on discrediting the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) because he held a solitary picket with a drawing of a rocket being fractured by hands.
