Case summary

Khabarov, as a former police officer who was dismissed after failing a re-certification, gave several interviews violations in the police. In November 2011, a case of misconduct was initiated against him. Later, after the release of the NTV film "Anatomy of Protest-2", a search was conducted at his place.

In February 2014, Khabarov was accused of involvement in the organisation of a criminal group engaged in illegal gambling. Since July 2014, he was the only one of the accused who was left in custody. On November 8, 2018, he was sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime colony. He was released on June 26, 2020.
