"TuvaMediaGroup" reported that the defendants were accused of extorting land plots in an elite district of Kyzyl from the authorities under the threat of disseminating materials defaming their honor and dignity, as well as other inaccurate information. It is known that the defendants in the case fraudulently sold several plots of land in the city limits of Kyzyl, on which the residents who trusted them built fences and houses. At present, demolition of illegally built objects is underway. Khertek, in a letter from the detention centre published by Versiya, claims that the victim in the case is businessman Sergei Bogusov: "Allegedly, under threat of spreading defamatory information about him, we demanded from him 300,000 roubles and a sublease agreement for the land plot, which is leased to Bastion LLC". Khertek writes that the Tyva authorities agreed to provide her co-operative with 10 hectares of land, and some members of the co-operative started construction on it. Later, the land was not given to her cooperative, but 3 hectares were given to Bastion. The businesswoman, according to her, tried to negotiate a sublease with Bogusov.

Full summary
A resident of Kyzyl, chairwoman of the "Dom" housing and social co-operative. On 2 May 2024, she was detained on charges of extortion and then imprisoned. In a letter from the detention centre, she said that the Tyva authorities had agreed to grant her co-operative 10 hectares of land plots, and some members of the co-operative started construction on the land. Later, the land was not given to "Dom", but 3 hectares were given to the construction company Bastion. The businesswoman, according to her, tried to negotiate a sublease with Bastion owner Sergei Bogusov. Khertek was accused of threatening to spread "disgraceful information" about Bogusov on the Internet. The businesswoman herself claimed that the case against her was falsified in order to "eliminate her as a competitor and not to provide the land to our cooperative", but to give it to "someone else who has a powerful administrative resource". On 17 March 2025, by court decision, Khertek was released from custody. It is not known exactly what the decision was, whether it was an acquittal or a conviction, or a non-custodial or a conviction with credit for the time served by Khertek.
