Case summary
A journalist from Krasnoyarsk. In 2008-2011 she was a correspondent for "Komsomolskaya Pravda". Worked as a freelancer with "Kedr.Media", "Takie Dela", "Pravmir", "Sibir.Realii". In the 2020s, her materials were regularly published in "Argumenty i Fakty" and "Agency for Social Information". The journalist wrote about the work of charity organisations, Soviet repressions, environmental and social problems.
On September 29th 2025, she was detained in a case of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army because of an interview about the war in Ukraine published by "Sibir.Realii" in May 2023. According to the investigation, the article contained "knowingly false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces during a special military operation," and after its release, Khustik received 64,000 rubles. The day after her arrest, the journalist was taken into custody.
