Case summary
A resident of Krasnoyarsk and supporter of the antifa movement, Ivanov was accused of robbery in an incident that allegedly involved visiting a former antifascist who had shifted to right-wing views. According to the "Bums in Paris" Telegram channel, Ivanov and co-defendant Ilya Vinogradov took items bearing antifascist symbols from the individual.
RIA Novosti, citing a law enforcement source, reported that the two also planned to set fire to a military recruitment center as a protest against the war in Ukraine and were involved in spraying anti-war graffiti around Krasnoyarsk. It is unclear whether criminal charges were filed specifically in connection with these alleged actions.
Ivanov was taken into custody and pleaded guilty to the robbery. His parents later reported seeing bruises on his face, and the VKontakte community "Punks and Skins" claimed he may have confessed under torture. On April 19, 2023, Ivanov was placed under house arrest, and on May 17, he received a five-year suspended sentence.
